Why Us?

We want to train and educate students by building up character and inculcating human values in them to create a just society where women and men are considered equal, and where, together, they live in peace love and harmony.

In 1997(March), with the foundation the school laid, the founders stepped into the world of education. The steps to this beginning was not planned but it happened – The Almighty instilled in them an undying inspiration, strength and confidence to touch the minds and life of little children, living in extreme circumstances at the far, undeveloped end of Nallasopara (East).

With uncertainty, but faith in their mind they confidently trudged ahead to win the love of the families in the neighbourhood. Their patience and persistent, convincing of the poor income background families to educate their children, saw the first number of admission seekers. The numbers gradually started soaring. The following years witnessed an alarming increase in the strength of the students and today with 4500 Plus students, St.Anthony’s is one of the prominent schools in vasai – virar area. .

1997

The building ‘Janaki Apartments’ with the first floor contained the classrooms from the Nursery section up to Std VI. The children with eager minds and great enthusiasm slowly started discovering the value of true education. Mrs.Charlotte Gabriel and Mr.Jose Thomas and with a handful of dedicated teachers began the journey to explore new areas in the field of education. Now there was no turning back – The member of students with every passing year started exceeding
1998

The benefits of having a well – structured school in such an undeveloped area was a blessing in disguise to its low-income inhabitants. Their desperate desire to educate their children saw a risk in admission-seekers. In the course of time, Std VII was introduced.

The Computer Laboratory JUNE 1998

Imparting the state of the art technology in computer literacy was the need of the hour. So, a Computer Laboratory with a class of computers with the latest in the system was introduced. The students had to be groomed to the well – versed to know the latest in technology. The subject of Computer Science brought them closer to the world. The Computer Laboratory headed by experienced professionals trainers, students form Std I to Std X on regular basis
1999

Secondary Section was set on roll with the introduction of Std VIII. With the rise in every std, the need for learning facilities too increased. However, The ensured the best in education to every child that entered the gated of St.Anthony’s School.
2000

Subsequently, Std.IX came into effect. With the rapid increase in the number of students, there arose the problem of lack of space. This new obstacle was however to be touched. A new space closer to ‘Janki Apartment’ was there on purchased and the foundation laid to erect a new building premises. This was a great accomplishment. The year soon saw the emergence of the ground floor of the building.
2001-2002

The first batch of students from its inception, in the year 1997, was being readied for the Std.X Board Examination. There was a great preparation and training of the students. The relentless efforts of the Founders along with a huge supporting system helped the students equip themselves well and appear for the Board Examination of March 2002 with confidence. The sweeping success of the students was and achievement and only added more glory to the upcoming school.

Taking every challenge in their stride, They proceeded to expand the school further. With noble thoughts to spread the finest education, to every child possible, they went further to construct the first and second floors. The constant increase in the strength of the students marked the prominent growth of the school.

The ‘Growing Phase’: The students groomed at the school blossomed into competent individuals. Facilities to bone their skills were gradually introduces .

Library (The World of Wisdom)

The school has a well-contained library, of books of every kind and for every age. Reading exposes the children to the outside world, as well as equip them with vocabulary skills. Books on subjects like science, social sciences, general knowledge, Encyclopedia, literature, fairytales, Competitive Exams, Arts and Craft are the collection the library boasts of. Handbooks, Manuals and Reference Books were also easily made available to aid the teachers in teaching. The library of St.Anthony’s High School equips the students with the best in pursuing their intelligence and knowledge.

The Science Laboratory (Einstein in the making)

“Seeing is believing” – this dictum is strictly followed in St.Anthony’s High School. Students are brought into the world of science, in the science laboratory of the school. The science of reasoning is sown in their minds by practical demonstration. The science teachers help the students to develop scientific temper in their daily life, through the experiments in the practical classes of Science SC - I and SC – II. An array of specimens and models of scientific objects gives them practical insight of the subject.

The Audio – Visual Education

Theoretical knowledge gains benefit when aided with visual effect. From the year 2009 a room was allotted for Audio-visual screening of the theory done in class. A Weekly period of Audio-Visual class helps the students get a deep insight of the contents of the subject. Each lesson with specifications, picture s and added contents develop a better comprehensive understanding of the subject to the students. An A.V. teacher guides the students through the regular classes.

The Smart Board Education

With changing trends came changing patterns in education. The Smart Board Education was introduced in the year 2014-15. A class of every standard was provided with a Smart Board , Overhead Projector. The teachers were given training professional sot enable its usage. The students are taught the subjects through the aid of Smart Education – Advanced Technology.
2004

The School Building was further erected to the third floor. As new admissions started pouring in, there was a need to make more space to accommodate them.
2009

The Fourth Floor gave rise to added, spacious classrooms. The school also built a large hall for school activities. Alongside in the same year, an adjourning new wing, was added to the old one. The classrooms had to be increased, with the growing number of students every year. The transformation of the school into a huge premises spoke of its rapid progression.
2014-2015

With the addition of division to every standard, inadequate space was the greatest obstacle. So another new wing consisting of 15 rooms was well – constructed. The new building brought new hopes of our founders to build their dreams on these hopes. Their long cherished dream of starting an Educational Institution to spread education had taken a concrete shape. Their hard work struggles and sacrifices along with the entire staff of St.Anthony’s High School has build the pillars of this institution.

Today the school stands testimony to the fact that “ Perseverance is the key success”. Its underlying principle to spread ‘Quality in Education” has made it a school of remarkable repute – the undying spirit and commitment of its mentors Mrs.Charlotte Gabriel and Mr.Jose Thomas continues to keep the flaming torch of St.Anthony’s High School ever burning with brightness and brilliance.
